Forgiveness is the willingness to forgive, or act of forgiving.  To grant, pardon, to cancel or to cease to feel angry.  Matthew 6:14,15 says, for if you forgive men their trespasses your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.  What are trespasses?  It means to commit an offense, to intrude or violate.  Matthew 18:21,22 Peter said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Till seven times?  Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, until seven times, but until seventy times seven.  We think if we forgive someone once or twice, maybe even three times, that we did something.  Jesus said if someone sins against you 490 times forgive them!  Ephesians 4:32 And be kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.  Psalm 86:5 For thou, Lord, art good and ready to forgive and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.  1John1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Jesus loves us unconditionally.
Jesus died on the cross and shed his precious blood for our sins.  While he was on the cross he said, Father forgive them for they no not what they do.  If God can forgive us then we should be able to forgive each other. Well, some of you might say, you don't know what they did to me, it's not that easy to say I forgive you.  God knows, and he understands, but his grace is sufficient for you. He will help you.  We have to pray and ask God to help us to forgive the people that have wronged us. We can't always do it by ourselves, we need God's help.  Let's pray, Father I pray for those who may be struggling with any unforgiveness in their heart toward someone, I pray that you would heal their broken heart, take away all hurt and pain, give them peace in their heart and mind, the peace that only you can give that passes all understanding. I brake the power of the enemy from coming against their mind, will and emotions right now in Jesus name, Amen  God bless you!
